This is what standing up to the regime looks like. #MomSky apple.news/AnFRoKk-TQbq...

This. 1000x this.

DAN GREENHAUS, on the Moody’s downgrade: “.. The U.S. is running gigantic, peacetime deficits unlike anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes. As a result, .. in ten years’ time we’ll have $20 trillion more debt and that’s assuming nothing goes ‘wrong’ between now and then.”

Welcome to the RFK Jr public health era.

“NSF watchers fear that a smaller, restructured agency could be more vulnerable to pressure from the White House to fund research that suits its ideological bent.” www.science.org/content/arti...

The MontCo Visibility Brigade was out again bright and early this morning over Rt 422! Lots of support from truckers, no surprise. @maddow.msnbc.com @hcrichardson.bsky.social @visibilitybrigade.bsky.social

The first major-media report on this:

I don’t understand why no one in congress has proposed amending The Federal Reserve act to include the following addition among the mandates “Reducing the federal debt-to-GDP ratio to sustainable levels.” Keep inflation and employment the same , just add to the equation #econsky

The first American Pope, Leo XIV, has just been elected. Prevost, from Chicago, is deemed to be in the mold of Pope Francis—a progressive. Yes, this is real.

"LET HER STAY!"

Trump’s back in the White House—and his kids are cashing in. Saudi towers, Qatari golf deals, crypto schemes. This isn’t public service. It’s a shakedown. adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/the-trump-...

1. Trump says imposing tariffs on nearly every nation on earth is essential to force companies to make investments in the US instead of abroad But since taking office, the Trump Organization has announced new multi-billion $ development deals in the UAE, Qatar, India and Vietnam And NONE in the US

Uh, ok, we’re on like the 4th iteration of this and wtf is going on?

Trying to imagine if Trump told America, "Maybe you don't need 30 guns, maybe 2 guns."

Somehow, Trump has declared that we’re under numerous national emergencies from the Southern Border Emergency to the Energy Emergency, Trade Emergency, Public Lands Emergency, and Immigration Enforcement Emergency. Yet these crises seem so “urgent” that he finds time to golf every weekend. Odd.

Literally why the Impeachment Clause exists

Donald Trump has just sent Republicans in Congress a budget proposal that cuts nearly everything, and if they don’t like it, he says he’ll withhold cash that they approve. He is setting up a constitutional crisis.

Tommy Tuberville says his wife's homestead exemption established his residency in Alabama, but election records show both of them voted in Florida after that. And that's only the beginning.

Both Rubio's tweet, and the response, are remarkable artifacts. You have a Secretary of State tweeting right wing talking points to defend Neo Nazis, and the country where Nazis originated telling him to sod off.

Stand up to him, get rewarded. Try to placate, he'll just demand more. The way is clear

Trump’s proposed budget slashes billions for essential programs that millions of Americans rely on—just to hand over $1 trillion for military spending overseen by Pete Hegseth and help give massive tax breaks to the wealthy.

JUST IN: Judge HOWELL rules forcefully in favor of Perkins Coie against Trump's punitive executive order, comparing him to a Shakespearean character who famously called to "kill all the lawyers" in order to amass power. ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show...

With nearly 40 years of legal practice, lawyer Abbe Lowell has represented many powerful people. Now he's starting a new law firm to represent those who have drawn the ire of President Trump. By @carriejohnson.bsky.social

Raskin: The lowest 100 day approval rating since polling began. He controlled the agenda. He controlled the House, the Senate— he’s got everything going for him and his numbers are in the gutter

🗣️🇺🇸🇺🇦 Kellogg: When Russia claims they're winning—NO, they’re not. If they were, they would have already won by now. It’s time they face that reality. I believe Ukraine is in a strong position, and the Europeans have really stepped up in support.

I was among those who pointed out that an inability to get Abrego Garcia made Trump look weak. Trump can't stand to look weak. Now he's acknowledged he can get Abrego Garcia back. In doing so, he's given the lawyers the ammunition they need to prevail in court. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

To understand the claims that federal agents improperly executed a search warrant on an Oklahoma Mom & her daughters, you need background. Here’s the info on executing federal search warrants & whether there is any way to hold agents who get it wrong accountable. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

The grift comes full circle. Musk took a $465M government loan to build Tesla—now he’s using DOGE to kill off the very office that helped him succeed—because it might help the next innovator, not him. This isn’t “efficiency.” It’s sabotage!

(AXIOS) - The Senate on Wednesday killed a resolution that would have effectively reversed President Trump's 10% tariffs on all imported goods, with just three Republicans joining with Democrats in support of the measure. @axios.com www.axios.com/2025/04/30/s...

📌Coming off the terrible pandemic that killed millions, America's economy was the strongest in the world. It wasn't great, but was improving. That's no fairy tale. It took just 100 days for Trump to fuck that all up. That's no fairy tale, either.

Trump hits his 100-day mark and all he does is “win, win, win”… you check the auto layoffs, your investments, or your bank account. youtube.com/shorts/ywYV7...

Consistent with my maintained belief that ~20-30% of any democratic polity will support far right authoritarians no matter what. The only question is whether a country has such egregiously anti-majoritarian political institutions that allow that minority full access to power to do a fascism.

Keep ‘em coming

New: White House seriously does not like Amazon’s move to start showing the cost of Trump’s tariffs next to each product — Press Secy Karoline Leavitt calls it a “hostile and political action by Amazon” and declines to say whether the admin considers Jeff Bezos a Trump supporter

REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies? LEAVITT: This is a hostile and political act by Amazon.

hm seems bad www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Trump is celebrating 100 days in Michigan tonight while the economy falters under his policies. Michigan deserves better. America deserves better. youtu.be/ywF7rakiF1I?...

REPORTER: Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president in the last 80 years. How do you interpret those numbers? MIKE JOHNSON: Look, in any new administration, it's a rollercoaster ... what the real polling is showing is that they understand that we're heading somewhere.

This is why you don't preemptively bend the knee - ever. 1. Amazon gave Melania $40 million for the rights to her "life story." Today, the WH accused Amazon of being in cahoots with China, causing the stock to drop. /1

The CDC has eviscerated divisions that oversee a database on accidental deaths and injuries and the team that maintains a tool for tracking sexually transmitted diseases. The EPA will stop requiring that industry measures greenhouse gas emissions.

No. Absolutely not‼️ This is exactly what shouldn’t happen. Farmers don’t get a bailout this time. Especially if they helped put Trump in office — they can suffer right along with the rest of us losing our businesses and livelihoods. Trump needs to stop this tariff madness—instead of bailouts.

Donald Trump’s first 100 days as president have been 100 days from hell for the American people. His first 100 days have been the worst for any president in modern history.
