The good news, incidentally, is that our military seems manifestly uninterested in actually going all-out fascist. Doesn't mean there aren't any fascists in it, but the institution seems to mostly be going through the motions. Like, they could have made this a Nazi fever dream if they'd wanted.

Dunno man, I'm pretty sure that when the Tea Party managed to gather like 500 people outside a Chuck E. Cheese or whatever, the media interviewed every single person there fifteen times, declared it an unstoppable popular tsunami, and amplified its every inane grievance as purest Vox Dei.

Same here - sincere thank you to everyone who showed up today, and to everyone who couldn't but was there in spirit. I was expecting maybe a couple hundred at the protest I attended and it was incredibly heartening to see a crowd that was probably well over a thousand.

can't even guess how many thousands of people are in Downtown Tampa. we're filling several city blocks. the mood is fantastic. the cops are just watching from the shade as folks do their happy little protesting. #NoKings in Tampa is a huge hit.

I'm very confident that the people out in the streets today aren't going to let our country fall into fascism.
