Denzel Washington is a music mogul under fire in the first trailer for #Highest2Lowest, Spike Lee's upcoming remake of Akira Kurosawa's classic 60s thriller High & Low. WATCH IT HERE: www.empireonline.com/movies/news/...

Sunday Model Kit- XPlus The Mummy- finished

It’s called elevated horror, T. It’s when the dracula is actually that your mom died.

Happy Alien Day, folks.

But I was informed Scorsese's just a snob who only something something gangster films.

“And even more insidious was the New York Times’ box office coverage of the movie, which stated, ‘Mr. Coogler will then own it, despite not paying for it.’”

Kind of awkward that Ryan Coogler only took one of the twins to the SINNERS premiere.

It's telling the chin stroking being done over Sinners doing quite well on a modest budget while nobody suggests there may be something amiss with the plan of "A streamer gives the Russos 300 million dollars to light on fire for a movie nobody believes is real when you tell them about it."

Still taken aback by how much weirder Sinners was than I expected. Takes huge swings and it's exhilarating every single time. Also is a prime example of how you can pay homage to genre films/ media of the past (a lot of John Carpenter and Stephen King love here) whilst also forging your own path.

Star Wars movies used to have big pulpy titles like THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and ATTACK OF THE CLONES. A Star Wars title should be a mouthful to say!

Getting emotional thinking about the time someone asked George Miller why people in his movies made such ridiculous cars and he said "Just because we're in an impoverished world, it doesn't mean people stop making beautiful things."

God, finally.

Thinking about the Octoboss.

God I miss this show so much.

Saddest video ever put on the internet, to be quite honest... youtu.be/HndBiSyOrK4

This one monster that pops out of the wall to gobble up a dude in Big Trouble in Little China has to be the coolest creature to ever appear in just a single shot in a film, right?

Important:

So wild that Bong Joon-ho made a film for just me.

On one hand, sad! On the other hand, ah well! Bong's next film (his animated fish film with Werner Herzog) is already deep into production, so it's not like this is going to shoot him in the foot and prevent us from getting a new Bong Joon-ho movie. variety.com/2025/film/bo...

RIP Jean “Moebius” Giraud (1938-2012) left us 13 years ago today. What an influence on the world of art, from comics to film and design.

Guillermo's picks for March on TCM

Everyone please stop saying "skeet" I can feel my skin crawl every time I read that word. Now I know how the people that react badly to the word "moist" feel.

I'm thinking about Army of Darkness' skeletons a lot this morning, for some reason.

its amazing how chatgpt knows everything about subjects I know nothing about, but is wrong like 40% of the time in things im an expert on. not going to think about this any further

I would very much like to see Mickey 17 again, please and thank you.
