Today, 85 years ago: The peak of the "Miracle of Dunkirk," with ~ 70,000 British troops evacuated. The successful rescue at Dunkirk allows Britain to survive in 1940, which makes possible allied victory later. Lesson: You need to survive your Dunkirk before you can attack and win on your D-Day.

Come is correct. The term "86" meaning to throw out or get rid of something originated in restaurant slang, specifically soda fountains and bars, in the 1930s. It's a rhyming slang term, likely derived from "nix" or to cancel.
