I just made an amazing salad. I sliced and sautéed a homegrown zucchini with shallot. I then added that cooked mixture to a bowl containing a variety of homegrown tomatoes and some fresh basil (also homegrown). I finished it with some thick balsamic and salt and pepper. Delicious!

Good garden harvest this morning! 2 zucchini Handful of Serrano chilies 1 large tomato 2 handfuls cherry tomatoes (red and yellow) Almost 3 lbs turnips I don't like turnips, but I ended up with some seeds last year and had leftovers so I planted them again.

Good harvest day: 3 zucchini, 4 Serrano chilies, 1 eggplant, several cherry tomatoes, and the first (of many) blackberry. I have been harvesting small tomatoes for a while, but my first large tomato is starting to ripen. So far, so good!

Today is a hard day. My older son, who lives overseas, is going through some stuff. He is finally getting the help he needs, but it breaks my heart he is so far away. My daughter, after living with us again for two years to finish college after covid, left today to start her next adventure.
