Forbes: Mamdani grew up to the baby age of 33 with enough food to eat and here's why that means he's dangerously incompetent Also Forbes: Here's 500 of the richest people under the age of 30 who are so smart, trustworthy & capable that we release an annual list in our news magazine about it

Every time I read these stories I cant help but think of Vance who came to Munich to tell Europe that we have freedom of speech problem.

Elderly and disabled people told Congress that cutting Medicaid could kill people and in response, they were arrested in their wheelchairs. What the hell are we doing?

Been wanting to punch the smug face of this dude from the opening credits of Cheers forever

Your Cherokee words for today. The top word is English followed by how it is written in the Cherokee language followed by how it is spelled in English then how to pronounce it phonetically.

This week’s EVA-Trek episode was another fun break from the usual shenanigans because I got a chance to do a lower-decks type story following the recurring cast where Shinji & the others barely appear.

I don’t get many comments, but the rare ones usually have thoughtful things to say. I miss my one guest commenter that would have some great analysis on each episode in the 1st season & a half of EVA-Trek. I wish I didn’t have to close guest comments due to the pervasive hate bot issue.

These two are so much fun to draw. This friendship off set; after all these years just brings a smile to my face. 💚

🚨NEW - #StarTrek LEGO Updates! The Brick Tap Community - a great source for lego news - have shared more details about the RUMOURED Enterprise D lego set inc Mini Figs, which will hopefully release later this year! #TheNextGeneration

It was so nice to see grandpa make a comeback in Gundam G-QuuuuuuX, along with mecha battles in 2D animation. Did any of it make sense in the end? Of fucking course it didn’t, but it’s a Hideaki Anno joint - that’s to be expected.

I did the thing.

15 year old Amuro in the cockpit, going over the instruction manual once again: “Ahh okay so this is how you manage to to use your shield, neat!” Average Zeon grunt:

A story that got less attention was the incredibly cynical primary of my amazing Councilwoman—the first Muslim woman ever elected to the NYC Council—by a billionaire, corporate-backed candidate also lobbing gross accusations of antisemitism. Anyway, the challenger got trounced. Hell yea.

LOOKING FOR HOW HE DID IT? we covered it!

Tonight I'm texting Nancy Pelosi and asking HER for $5

it turns out that embracing a multi-racial, multi-faith democracy is the best path towards peace in this chaotic world.

The "Vote Blue No Matter Who" bitches can vote Mamdani in November 😌

Not just NYC? The more liberal candidates are leading in the mayoral Dem primaries of Buffalo and Syracuse, as well.

Reposting this tonight because it’s filled with such obvious joy and love for New York City, and I’m so excited that he is DOMINATING this primary so hard.

How many pre-written "#MeToo Is Over" columns had to be shelved tonight?

I think what establishment democrats need to understand is that most of us hate them all very much for being so persistently useless and shitty in our time of desperation and it fills our hearts with hope and joy when someone who might not be those things beats them.

Can we draft Brad to primary Chuck in 2028? We could use this energy in the senate

Andrew Cuomo gets publicly humiliated. Bill Clinton learns his endorsement is worth less than dogshit. What a great time to be a hater. A golden age.

Karen Bass is up for reelection next year. Who will be the Zohran Mamdani of Los Angeles?

Strong night for left: —Mamdani will finish well ahead in 1st round. —All challenged NYC Progressive Caucus councilors will win, that's 10 of them. —Left may add new councilors (e.g. some AOC- or WFP-endorsed non-incumbents up) —The more liberal (WFP-endorsed) candidates up in Syracuse and Buffalo

Lander deserves a ton of respect for his willingness to subordinate his desires to blow up a genuinely evil man's campaign.

It’s almost as if saying and actually living leftist policies and principles of coalition building and instead behind milquetoast conservatives actually gets people excited and wins elections. Who would have thought?

man, it’s nice to have a good news day for once

raise your hand if you're not in NYC but you're following the mayoral election out of a desperate need to believe that good things are possible

NANCY PELOSI: We must find the next generation of Democratic leadership. Young, charismatic and exciting candidates who can energize the party. People that voters love because they're not 80 years old and sold out to big capital. CHUCK SCHUMER (behind sniper rifle): Found one PELOSI: Take the shot

Catch Me at the Ballpark! A nice tight 12-episode run about the players, support staff, & fans that go to Chiba MotorSuns Stadium. You’ll come to love the characters, the comedy, & the sincere heart this series has. You don’t even really need to be a baseball fan to dig it.

Now can we bring this energy back to my state of California for Gavin Newsome? I would really love a governor who isn’t regularly sitting down with far-right ghouls for a podcast.

If you're a member of the Democratic gerontocracy, the chances of you catching a primary challenger just went up 1000%.

It turns out being a charming person with policies that don’t suck isn’t a bad strategy despite being told that for two straight months

The Zohran-Quake heard round the country is happening

I think we can all agree that whether or not you like Mamdani, the death of Cuomo for President 2028 campaign is a win for everyone.

I gotta be honest, after a dozen breathless articles, I’ve come to the conclusion that Bluesky might not be the “political bubble” that some journalists said it was.

Excellent news for the NYC left: There were 10 city council members of the Progressive Caucus who faced primary challengers today, some of them very ideologically polarized primaries. All 10 incumbents are leading *by a lot.*

Mamdani is proof the Dems CAN move in a progressive direction, we just have to leave the old establishment crumbled into the dust where it belongs. Been a while since I’ve seen good political news like this.

Imagine if the Democratic Party actually helped Zohran instead of trying to kneecap him at every step. A better party is immediately possible if they stop shoving money into the anti-trans combination Racism Dial/Money Toilet and instead get behind candidates people actually want.

crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their consultants

Democrats are in a primarying mood, and these 128 House members should be *real* concerned right now.

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa. It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;) It's so New York.

It’s hard to overstate how angry rank and file Dems are at the Dem establishment right now. And if I were a self-preservationist incumbent I would take note.
