Better late than never!

Mark your calendar! Metro LAX Transit Center to open Friday June 6 (though full LAX people mover connection expected early 2026) la.streetsblog.org/2025/04/24/m...

This year we are sponsoring a housing bill – SB 79 by Senator Wiener. Why are we, Streets For All, getting in the housing space? Because this bill is vital for our transportation system. 🧵(1/10)

Caltrans released a draft of the PCH Master Plan for a public review period. While the current plan includes some protected bike lanes, there will be a large gap! Tell Caltrans we need protected bike lanes down ALL of PCH! Learn more: mailchi.mp/streetsforal...

AUSTIN OFFICIALLY LEGALIZES 5-STORY SINGLE-STAIR APARTMENTS WITH A 10-1 VOTE!!! 🏗️🏬 This makes Austin the 2nd largest city outside of NYC to legalize single-stair apartments! Massive day for Austin and massive thanks to @CMChitoVela for taking the charge on this!

Today Joe Linton of Streetsblog LA filed a lawsuit to force HLA compliance on Vermont and other LA city streets (and other Metro projects) and eliminate the mandatory administrative appeals process. We support this action – we simply want safe streets. www.streetsforall.org/blog/first-h...

This was an insane read. So wrong and misguided. Who let this get published?!

Tell me you have never bought groceries in your life without telling me you have never bought groceries in your life.

So short sighted. So many vehicle related deaths a year and we just do nothing.

Very excited but seeming more and more likely it will get pushed until 2026. The contractor just added another month to the completion date. Now it’s November of this year…

All democrats voting against new housing need to be primaried and voted out. This is insane.

This is not going to open until next year i bet. Metro is failing at maintains a good pace of construction. Heads should roll for these years long delays on everything.

Folks who bike commute in LA—take five minutes to complete this cool survey by a French Fulbright researcher studying the motivations for active transport in LA and SF. h/t @bikinginla.bsky.social enquetes.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/SurveyServer...

How do I get one of these??

I don't think it should take 30 years to build a subway line in Chicago or 627 days to permit an apartment building in San Francisco.

Los Angeles needs to have started this two decades ago…

Minimum parking requirements destroy our communities. 🖼️ @parkingreform.org

This is everything wrong with our country. Approved but delayed for 8 years! Totally insane waste of everyone's time and money. Democrats need to start building again or we need a new party who will do it.

We need an Abundance political party. The democratic party is dead. Who can build it?

The biggest deregulatory action of its kind in US history will also be the biggest mass murder in US history.

Build the rail! Should have been done years ago but still worth doing!

In a very pleasant surprise, Metro has added a bunch of seating to 7th St Metro Center

Californians will be like "we need to protect this neighborhood's character forever by stopping overdevelopment" and the neighborhood looks like this

Never thought I would be so excited about staircase reform!

This, to me, is the single biggest issue democrats face. By not building we have stagnated/made worse peoples quality of life. Homes are too expensive. You can’t get around easily. This pushes people away from democrats because we have failed to make peoples lives better. We need to build again!

Wish we could have this in Los Angeles. 😭

A cycle path running alongside a main road in the Netherlands. The cycle path is some distance away from it, and separated by tree planting, providing shelter from the wind and rain, keeping cyclists safe and comfortable, far from the noise and stress of motor traffic.

Wish we could have a development like this in Los angeles. All we get is apartments over a costco…(which is pretty nice)

Housing costs are out of control because we’re not building enough homes. More housing means lower rents, more homeownership, and stronger communities. If we want thriving local businesses, shorter commutes, and opportunities for all—it’s time to build!

Congestion Relief Zone tolling is on track to generate $500 million in its first year! This will fund projects like making more stations accessible, installing modern signals, buying zero-emission buses, and more. See the numbers: www.mta.info/press-releas...

This could be every waterfront freeway in the USA… (Paris, EmmanuelSPV)
