Last year I saw the Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch @scottlynch78.bsky.social on one of those “books I’d kill to read again for the first time” posts, and man what a great book. Characters, writing style, twists and turns of the story. All of it was a good time. Highly recommend.

Finished How to Become the Dark Lord and Die trying by Django Wexler (@djangowexler.bsky.social). Fun read; I burned through it in only a couple days and preordered the sequel. I’ve always thought being able to Groundhog Day (or whatever the verb is for time looping) to be the best super power.

Just finished Usurpation by Sue Burke (@sueburke.bsky.social). Beautifully written book, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Pretty happy Semiosis didn’t end up being a duology. It was interesting to see what’s been going on with Earth, and I hope there’s a 4th installment where we get back to Pax.

Just finished Alien Clay by Adrian Tchaikovsky (@aptshadow.bsky.social ). Really enjoyed the story, especially the back half with the changing main character’s perspective. The whole thing was great, would highly recommend.
