Host: Are you saying the US did not see intelligence that the Supreme Leader had ordered weaponization? Rubio: That’s irrelevant Host: No, that's a key point Rubio: No it’s not… Forget about intelligence

ten years on, I still can’t believe this guy is the president. like… clinical derealization levels of disbelief. Donald Trump. the president. twice.

God rn:

what is this i keep hearing about a heatwa- oh. that seems bad.

What strikes me about this assassination is not that it wasn't covered. It was, quite in depth by the NY Times for example, but that it has faded as a story *so quickly*. The fact that it's not still dominating news coverage is appalling, although not unsurprising.

what are you supposed to do when the "good" political party doesn't treat a dozen credible sexual harassment claims as disqualifying for a political candidate. how are you supposed to ignore that

"hey 35 to 50 year old newsreading liberals what was the run-up to the iraq war like" is the most precision crafted bait possible on this website

A “shift” never happened. A chaotic raid at a worksite and a warrantless sweep in our communities have the same outcome. Bullshit rhetoric aside, they’re hunting us down while we’re trying to feed you. Who’s actually in charge?

If the federal government attempts to proceed with this, WA should pass a 1,000,000% real estate excise tax on the sale of federal lands.

“the workday never ends” says smirking company that facilitated the invasion of the workday into every peaceful nook and cranny of life

Oh... www.wired.com/story/cfpb-q...

You almost have to appreciate just how beautifully this illustrates the gerontocratic nature of American politics: the Ancient Umbrella is imbued with more experience simply because it existed longer.

No Kings in Seattle. Love this beautiful city and its people. Shout out to the rogue 8 operator who just stopped at an open parking spot and yelled “all you children get on the bus”, then reminded us repeatedly “if you don’t pull that cord I can deadhead from here to Broadway!”

assassinations, handcuffing a senator at press conference, marines detaining a civilian, and a military parade for the president’s birthday. rough week for democracy.

co-leading a project with someone making $100,000 more than me who keeps spelling “Boolean” as “bullion” in emails is really taking me back to the days of high school group projects (derogatory)

the cognitive dissonance of all this is killing me. this is textbook nazi ubermensch shit and it’s just … happening. and I’m supposed to keep up with my email and make my deadlines?

The cruelty in today's politics feels horribly corrosive. Bringing up that hard-working immigrant families — undocumented, yes, but not violent criminals — are being ripped apart based on immigration status doesn't bring compassion or even pause, but gleeful cheers.

Idk man but when the administration that tried to reject humanitarian aid for Los Angeles when it was burning tries to justify their illegal military occupation by saying they aren’t going to let LA burn it kinda sounds like bullshit

the southern baptist convention just had to sell their headquarters in downtown nashville to pay for all the sex abuse legal fees.

We feed you. They hunt us.
