Colorado is wild! Not a lifer but this northern flicker was posing for me on my after work hike #birds

Stopped in Lubbock for the night on the way to Colorado where I will be spending the summer. this is my first time ever seeing wild prarie dogs and it was magical

#birds Scissor-Tailed Flycatchers were out en masse this morning, also loads of loggerhead shrikes and an osprey!

got to point out a golden-cheeked warbler to a couple groups of non-birders and they were all so amazed and respectful it was really magical. Didn't even know the little dudes were back for the spring until today

Bison should be allowed to roam free and cattle should be restricted to private land. All abandoned barbed wire should be removed from public land. The money today being wasted on public lands grazing should go into building wildlife overpasses and installing wildlife safe guide fencing.
