The fact that we have to make the case against starving, bombing, and massacring children seems to be a pretty damning point of no return for our collective well-being.

These little dudes are so hard to get pictures of with a phone. Cute as hell tho

It's pretty cool that the biggest paper in my area had its staff gutted, locks public safety articles behind a paywall, and now is turning to AI slop.

This is INCREDIBLE news for Portland www.wweek.com/arts/movies/...

Saying “doubles down” like not wanting kids to suffer and die in an unfolding genocide is a bad or questionable thing. It’s disgusting framing and any resistance to “don’t hurt children” is fucking evil.

Now, the Yakama Nation will co-own and co-manage parts of the 3,600-acre Springwood Ranch with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. This will be the first land in Washington to be co-owned and co-managed by a tribe and the state.

I was warned in advance about a lot of the challenges of being a parent: the sleepless nights, the blowouts, the tantrums, the self-doubt and insecurity. But this…this is something else entirely, and I’m so unprepared for this stage.

Please help us purchase our bakery from the current owner and put power back into the hands of the workers!

No matter how much he pays the world will not forget Palestine and how he specifically acted toward Netanyahu the electorate and protesting students. His actions woke up so many to the issue. Hopefully people never forget

Online dead-enders may take their resentments over 2024 holdouts to their graves, but I'm quite certain history will only record that U.S. support for Israeli genocide was bipartisan and enthusiastic, and nobody reading about it will be interested in awarding partial credit.

Wish I could upload videos here because Terror and Nails were absolutely insane last night. It was one of the loudest rooms I’ve ever been in, and the energy levels were off the chart. Hell yeah

What has Powell’s leadership been doing lately to fight censorship and defend free speech? tinyurl.com/censorship-at-powells

Last night I got to see three short films by Takashi Makino (one of which was scored live by my favorite artist, Liz Harris!) at the Hollywood Theatre. As bad as the world is right now, it’s hard to deny there’s a lot pretty fucking cool stuff happening, if you look for it.

Continuing my (almost) annual tradition of watching THE FUGITIVE with my best friends for my birthday. There’s a special kind of sexy thriller that seemingly could only exist in the Ninties and I’m convinced we’re worse off for not getting dozens of these every year.

Perez is like the PNW’s version of Fetterman: cosplayed as a progressive to defeat an even more ghoulish opponent only to demolish any goodwill after winning. Every other step has been about appeasing the right at the cost of constituents.

Matt is legitimately the smartest person I know, and he’s the type of academic I wish I could have been if I saw it through. $65 for a class from him is a steal!

You'll probably never see me again because of this, but it's been real

I wished I believed in a hell awaiting ghouls like this but I’ll settle for nobody giving her or projects she profits from time, energy, attention, and money ever again. We will get to the other side of this and she’ll be just another name in a list of monsters we left behind.

to me, if i was an ice agent or police officer or anything like that, i would think about what happens after. because whether it's 4 years or 40, there will be an after. they made movies and tv shows about the guys who hunted down 80 year old nazis. there'll be an after

FML is my favorite thing I’ve read in a very long time. I’m consistently surprised and wowed, and every issue is an absolute treasure (Also, the one thing I can consistently look forward to in 2025?). I cannot rave enough about what @kellysue.bsky.social @davidlopez.bsky.social and team are doing.

when MLB dropped "diversity" from its career site, I reached out to every team, including those with live DEI pages. None committed to their current efforts. Almost nobody responded! One week before Jackie Robinson Day, my take on the leaguewide silence: www.miamiherald.com/opinion/arti...
