At a certain point, Cruz Azul, you're just being a rude host.

The trend of American USMNT coaches wanting all their players in Europe, only to be followed by European USMNT coaches being friendly to MLS players, is genuinely hilarious. Bradley Jurgen Gregg Poch

This isn't a soccer post, but I'd appreciate it if you read this! In my first 6 months leading marketing at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, I've learned a lot that I wish I knew before I had started; things I believe everyone should know. 1) Our kids are facing nationwide, generational issues.

You think that 5-goal first half was fun in the San Jose-Miami match? Buddy, the sun is just setting in the Bay. The second half will be officially MLS AFTER DARK.

Beau Leroux - Sebastian Berhalter starting midfield in World Cup 2026, imo

This SJ-Miami game could end with any score, and it wouldn't be surprising. A standard, 2-1? Sure. A 4-3 classic? Could be. The first ever game where both teams reach double digits? Can't rule it out.

In this economy? (Also, the Quakes have the top attack in the league!)

PSA for Bay Area folks looking to buy a last second Quakes-Miami ticket ... just buy a season ticket. The resale for that game is now north of $450. Season tickets start at $300 & include the Miami match and every other game (including LAFC at Levi's & LAG at Stanford)

The Quakes attack is the best in the league so far, and it's not particularly close. They created 27.3 xG, easily tops in the league and 4.7 xG ahead of #2, Vancouver (22.6). To put that into perspective, that's wider than the difference between #2 Vancouver and #14 RBNY (18.0)

MLS Best XI so far based on G+ (ovr rank) ST: Messi (2) ST: Surridge (3) AM: Evander (11) CM: Vite (25) DM: Parks (28) RWB: Espinoza (5) CB: Eile (1) CB: Cheberko (8) CB: Elliot (17) LWB: Gutman (19) GK: Steffen

Top MLS GKs in Goals Saved vs xGOT 1) Daniel, SJ: +5.6 2) Cabral, RSL: +4.2 3) Johnson, TFC: +4.1 After a hot start, Steffen slips down to 6th after a few mid showings. Johnson does the reverse after a poor start. Daniel, early favorite to win GK of the Year.

It's crazy because they *should* work. That seat feels red hot.

Players with 20+ goal contributions in Serie A this season: Mateo Retegui Romelu Lukaku Moise Kean Cristian Pulisic

It was very fitting that Vancouver beat Miami to get into the Champions Cup Final, while wearing the logo representing 50 years of its history. Something very romantic about that. I hope Vancouver fans and ownership fight like hell to get the home/new owners in Vancouver they deserve!

Tired: Messi & Ronaldo, both ousted in their Champions League semis Wired: Yamal & Berhalter, scored in Champions League semis and future Ballon D'or winners

So we're all rooting for a 2-2 tie in Cruz Azul-Tigres second leg, Which would put Vancouver as the host for the final. Unless CONCACAF picks their own final site (in the rules). Or BC Place has a motocross event on that date (also has happened).

KdB to the Fire would be awesome.

Goals scored by Brian White since being traded by RBNY (hometown kid!) for $400k GAM in 2021: 52 Goals scored by every RBNY striker since, including Klimala ($4m DP), Vanzier ($6m DP), Fabio, Manoel, Barlow, EMCM (DP), Hall: 54 Sometimes, you gotta keep your talent!

Update. MLS vs. Liga MX, head to head GD/game in Champions Cup with a game to go. '22: +0.63 '23: -0.16 '24: -1.25 '25: -0.6 It's still not good, but it's better than last years disastrous tournament.

Certainly, this means Messi travels to Vancouver to play after all, right? Right?

I think this means that it's almost impossible for Vancouver to host the final even if they got past Miami. It would require Tigres beating Cruz Azul with two ties & away rule tie breaker & Vancouver winning both legs vs Miami with a +5 goal difference.

The Champions Cup final is a single game hosted by the team with the most points/GD from the individual legs (it's very dumb!) Here's the standings of teams left 1) MIA - 15pts, +8 GD 2) CRUZ - 14pts, +11 3) UANL - 11pts, +5 4) VAN - 7pts, +1

Vancouver Whitecaps & the Cleveland Cavaliers. Both teams that have been good, but not great ... switched coaches and become world beaters with basically the same roster. Needs to be studied.

They're doing this without their best player!

Game of the year so far, damn. #MIAvLAFC
