I will be fine if the value of my home comes down because that will make it vastly easier to upgrade to a newer, nicer, and larger home. A 10% drop in the value of a million-dollar home is much greater, $ wise, than a 10% drop in my home's value.

One thing we're trying to convey with the floodwatch site is that sea level rise is a dynamic process. Yes, we're expecting every high tide to be 3' above MSL by 2100, but that means half the high tides are that high in 2075, 76 high tide floods in 2050, 24 in 2036. It's incremental.

I think this might be true. On the other hand, I am not sure how much there is to really fear (beyond the political downside). Zelensky-Trump showed the ephemeralness of every Trump meeting. Its importance is in its triviality & how little can possibly change because of how little you can trust him.
