The man with the plan and the pocket comb. Joe Biden was a good President who did good things, and Kamala Harris would’ve been even better. Here: politics, baseball, Tolkien memes. Sometimes in that order. @b-list.org for the tech side of me. he/him

Oh look. One of the people whining bc Dems have spent months trying, w/o success, to call attention to how the Big Ugly cut healthcare, demanding that Dems alert the world that the Big Ugly cuts healthcare.

Demanding to be inspired to vote is like seeing someone getting assaulted on the street and when they ask you for help you ask them how much money they have on them. Except in this case, it's 200M people being assaulted because they didn't bribe you.

Polls don’t vote. Marches don’t vote. Protests don’t vote. Thinking caring Americans vote for harm reduction and a better world for their communities, families and themselves. In that order. In every election, for every office. Anything less is total bullshit.

Bullshit

I was 5 years old when Franklin was introduced and Southern white people were freaking out about an integrated COMIC strip. But people my same age make regular claims of “this isn’t the America I know”. It’s not the America you had to navigate. There’s a difference.

The reality however, is, poor white people will choose to stay poor white people as long as there are POORER Black and other POC. If you don't understand that, you don't understand America. People keep looking beyond what's been right in front of them forever.

Remember “Hillary the Hawk, Trump the Dove”?

here’s the thing that a lot of people fuck up; i don’t like spanberger’s willingness to piss into the tent, but she fucking hates republicans and can win virginia and will be a million miles better than any republican.

Look, Republicans are trying all sorts of tricks to pretend their billionaire tax giveaway doesn't blow up the deficit. The fact is, their bill would add $4.2T to the deficit over 10 years—even AFTER the cuts they made to kick 16M off their health care. This bill is a disaster.

Now they're writing fan fiction about Johnson.

With a seemingly clear result, it is now time to move on.

I just wanna be crystal clear because I think a lot of people are misunderstanding. The impeachment vote today had nothing to do with yes impeach or no don’t impeach. It was: Yes we table this and discuss it later or No we don’t table this and we discuss it now. 1/2

Brad Lander was extraordinary in his defense of immigrants. Politicians have their own motivations, of course, but he did the right thing, when so many did not.

thanks mags, irreplaceably stellar work transcribing the shit your friends text you as always

RESULT: Democrats have won a seat in the New Hampshire House, in the night's most important legislative special.

I want off Jed Hoyer’s Wild Ride.

I’m sure if you pointed this out to a progressive they’d stomp their feet and say it was worse than nothing because he didn’t get a national four-day work week.

I tried to pay attention and I still missed 75% of this. The media likes Trump, and they want him to win.

You say ranked choice is democratic, I say it'll create new levels of median voter not yet known

It was literally Trump that forced the GOP to kill the bipartisan immigration bill. STOP BLAMING BIDEN AND DEMOCRATS FOR SHIT TRUMP AND REPUBLICANS DO.

He’s declining rapidly. George Clooney wouldn’t even recognize him anymore.

You know I don't think it could be said enough that we literally didn't get any benefit whatsoever to impeaching trump twice in his last term. It didn't help us at all. It didn't hurt him at all. I can't even think of one even small benefit from doing that at this point. I just can't.

Medically we call that an orchiectomy.

We've somehow managed to find something even less important to the body politic than a primary in the world's most self-important city to argue about: a meaningless procedural vote on a messaging bill with a foregone conclusion. Amazing work all around folks!

"They'll get over it." That's apparently the closing message from Senate Republicans before they vote to take away health care from millions of Americans — all to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Unbelievable.
