Often want to quickly jump to the documentation for specific core @slint.dev elements? LSP's and VScode have many ways to help here, but this simple change allows a CTRL click to open the web docs #slint_ui

The official documentation for writing VScode extensions isn’t great. This is one problem AI does help with.

This is going to be huge. Deploy your Slint app to iOS via a standard Xcode project. Easily share it via TestFlight and even publish to the App store. Lots to do and this version is missing some features such as safe area support. But it’s already a big step to full cross platform #Slint support.

I can be needy, but not Duolingo level needy

Getting older is weird. Not long till I hit 50 and I’ve never enjoyed coding more. Constantly finding more things to learn, new skills to stretch and cool nerd projects to read about.

I just watched one where the Doctor invents his own fake holodeck family. It’s too good so he changes it. His wife then wants to leave him, his son hates him and it ends with them all distraught as his fake daughter dies after an accident in front of them. Totally bonkers TV.

I didn’t enjoy Star Trek Voyager when it came out and didn’t watch much of it. I’m now binging it and it’s good! But some episodes are insane.

got tempted to rebuild this (x.com/5tr4n0/statu...) in webgl using my volumetric lighting shader work not as good but still a fun one to build r3f.maximeheckel.com/tunnel

We're delighted to release Slint 1.11 with two exciting updates 🚀: ✅ Live-Preview features Color & Gradient pickers ✅ Python Bindings upgraded to Beta Speed up your UI development with visual color selection and more robust Python support. slint.dev/blog/slint-1... #Slint #rustlang #cpp #Python

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked, "If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?" Allow our scaled diagram to explain...

Not finished, but the new Slint gradient editor is coming together. The old UI on the right, while the new more intuitive floating panel is to the centre. While there is a lot of things that are easier to edit as code, tweaking @linear-gradeint(90deg, #FF0000 0%, #000000 100%) needs a visual tool.

So we vibe coded world trade policy

Slint 1.10 is coming soon and is ready for testing. This release includes a Figma plugin, a new "Data" tab in live preview, and MenuBar & ContextMenuArea for menus. Try it out and share your feedback. github.com/slint-ui/sli...

I made a plugin for Figma! For someone that thinks web tech is often 🤮, I sure seem to be writing a lot of web code 🤣

Just put out another @slint.dev video showing off how the new docs work. I watch a lot of tech videos these days and had to mock up a meme thumbnail. Didn't use it for the real video though 🤣

#Slint 1.9.2 is out 🎉 This release improves accessibility for tabs and group boxes, adds support for building with Bazel, adds support for older Android versions, and fixes a few other bugs. Release: github.com/slint-ui/sli... ChangeLog: github.com/slint-ui/sli...

Slint 1.9 is out. 🎉 This release brings improved documentation, a live-preview element inspector, translation bundling, and other enhancements. Check out what's new: slint.dev/blog/slint-1...

On a more serious note we are hours away from launching the new @slint.dev docs. All built with @astro.build and Starlight. Sneak peek here snapshots.slint.dev/master/docs/...

Pro-tip: Don't complain about your managers in a thread with the managers. This wasn't me. Okay, it was 🤦‍♂️

Current life goal is to have a week where I have more Slint commits than the bosses.

Time to update your docs! Starlight is ready for Astro v5 🌟

🍻 Brewtools is presenting their Fermentation Control System at #BrauBeviale featuring a sleek UI made with #Slint, running on an #ESP32-S3 MCU, displayed on a 5" IPS panel. Bringing industrial-grade brewing tech to microbreweries & homebrewers. Cheers to smarter brewing!🍺 #MadeWithSlint #BrewingTech

Nigel Breslaw is presenting "Component Driven UIs with Slint" at the #ESEKongress online pre-conference tomorrow, Fri Nov 29, at 13:00 CET. (Session 1) express.converia.de/frontend/ind... We'll also be at ESE next week in Sindelfingen with a booth and a talk.

Old enough to remember when OG Facebook had a linear non algorithmic add free time line. But it wasn’t as addictive or able to pull in the mega 💵💵. Honestly would pay to keep the current experience here in bsky, just don’t know if there are enough people who would also do the same. 🤞

Preparing to give a Slint UI presentation at the Embedded Software Engineering Kongress next week. I know I am super cool, but having a nagging feeling I might actually be a nerd. express.converia.de/frontend/ind...

The Slint docs were written with Sphinx. As I’m now rewriting them I’ve used Starlight and @astro.build to build the new version. I’m not finished, but it’s been a total joy to use. snapshots.slint.dev/master/docs/...

I'm preparing to corner the Slint UI dev posts market on 🦋

Made a starter pack with lots of various artists for you to check out! Everything from cute critters to stunning portraits, I'm sure you can find something to your liking 💚 go.bsky.app/LA4pqzZ

Hello

For the newbies, one of the great features on here is that when someone has tried to quote-post dunk on you, hit the … and select “detach quote” and nobody will see the post or who wrote it and they will look like an asshole. (Blocking works like this too.)
