ICE's quota is 3,000 a day, and if we divide that by 50, that's an average of 60 people per state per day. 420 per week per state. These agents are just waiting outside courthouses to meet that quota, or they might lose their jobs. They would rather destroy families than LOSE THEIR JOB. 1/

I’m a broken record this week, but if by “student” he means F/J visa holders, this is also going to affect many postdocs. Postdocs from China make up a sizable fraction of the US academic workforce. And, frankly, they face enough discrimination based on immigration status as it is.
