Black people could not earn a living wage in America until 1865. Women could not vote until 1920. Black Americans could not pee with white people until the 1960s. Gay people could not be legally married until 2015. This is very disappointing and disturbing, but not surprising. #cruel

And the "thin blue line" phrase was always stupid to me even when i was an officer. If police are public servants then we should want that line to be thick! Not thin. Its a divisive phrase that promotes an us vs them mentality. Effective policing is reinforced with strong COMMUNITY ties.

As someone who worked for his local police department for nine years, this is a very vile answer. Citizens (are supposed to ) have the right to ask for the officer’s name and badge number. To even defend this, knowing it’s wrong, makes it that more egregious. Vile.
