How is a judge ordering that fed agencies stop firing employees a victory? It’s already happened. If reinstated, they work for a changed agency that’s openly hostile to them, until they’re re-fired. It’s a contest to see who can suffer the best and no one wins.

I’ve groaned about owing more than I calculated, but never been furious to pay taxes before, as I am this year. Public employees have to maintain good credit and pay taxes on time to keep our jobs, unlike the billionaires stealing our money, because being in debt could compromise us.

Virtually every progressive movement I’ve been involved in over the last 30 years has destroyed itself arguing over relatively inconsequential internal differences. We’re losing because we’re still setting ground rules while we’re being steamrolled by actual fascists.

Unregulated child labor is abuse and will allow bad parents to legally exploit their children. The next step is legalizing “corporal punishment” so violence against children is rebranded as discipline, rolling back the truly meager progress made to protect the most vulnerable among us.

My most petty complaint about Trump is that he keeps ending cryptic missives with “Thank you for your attention to this matter,” like he’s writing bitchy memos to the typing pool for clocking in one minute late from lunch. The assistant floor manager is pissed and we’re all in big trouble.

I don’t know if forcing price increases on other vehicles will actually coerce anyone into buying a Tesla that they don’t want, but this market manipulation seems likely to encourage more vandalism of Teslas. Can’t wait to find out what this Trump/Elon BFFs thing is really about.
