On June 16 at noon (ET), I will hold a super informal Zoom workshop on "Navigating the Tenure Track System" for political science graduate students and postdocs about to start a tenure track position. #polisci To register, pls fill the following form: shorturl.at/vVuQb

I'm super excited to be giving a tutorial at the useR conference (Duke) this summer! Let me know if you're thinking about signing up, or if you'll be in Durham and want to chat over coffee. I'd love to connect with other #Rstats enthusiasts!

I just published a new #Rstats notebook to celebrate the release of {marginaleffects} 📦 0.26.0: Survival Analysis in R Please send me feedback, and don't forget to update the pkg for important bug fixes. Thanks to Robin Denz for his amazing work on this! marginaleffects.com/bonus/surviv...

I think the current state of social science research is pretty bad and I wrote something for @asteriskmag.bsky.social about it. asteriskmag.com/issues/10/ca...

I wrote a thing about multivariate normal sampling in #rstats, and why you would be well-advised to prefer mvtnorm::rmvnorm() over MASS::mvrnorm() Now. Let us never speak of this again

I want to make a princess-themed dance game for my daughter. The princess will have to twirl, but I'm a bad artist and just drawing a static princess image was hard enough. Anyone have advice for adding motion to 1-bit graphics? In my experience LLMs are quite bad at this.

Can anyone point me to a video of someone doing LLM-assisted coding on a *large* or *complex* code base? I see a lot of you examples on YouTube but am curious about workflows for bigger projects.
