This evening's bike ride was a big accomplishment for me. I was able to climb hills #2 & 3 on 4th gear. Hill #1 is still on 3rd gear, but I'll start to work on it. The rest of the ride was good. Went at top speed as there was virtually no wind. Met up with 3 cyclists, waved hello. #cycling

After a very busy week with very important family matters, it was nice to get back on the trails now that things have calmed down. There was a bit of a misty rain, but it only affected me when I was outside the park in the open; inside the park was fine. #running

Sunset at Parlee Beach Provincial Park. #sunset

Adventure Time season 5. After the opening 2 parter, it got really bad for the next 12-15 episodes. Then, it improved quite a bit. Highlights are definitely the 2 episodes focusing on Ice King's past as Simon. While Ice King's goofiness makes for kind of creepy comedy, Simon is much more interesting

Petitcodiac River tidal Bore viewed from the Moncton side. #tide #wave

Today's bike ride was from my house to my sister-in-law, 46 km away. It was mostly highway and I had the wind on my back most of the way. The only issue is that the highway shoulder had a lock of pebble debris. Aside from that, all went well. #cycling

From my collection, Spider-Man 2099 #1-3 by Peter David, @rick-leonardi.bsky.social & Al Williamson. After a 5 page preview in Amazing Spider-Man 365, the series proper kicked off with a 3 part origin story. The creative team do a good job making it of its own thing. #comics

Today's bike ride was, sh!t!!! that wasp or whatever it was that stung me in the ribs hurt. I checked myself, no stinger was implanted, so i don't really understand what happened. The salt from sweat really stung afterwards. Censored photo below, click at your own risk. #cycling

From my comics collection, Batman 530, 531, 532 by Doug Moench, Kelly Jones & John Beatty. A 3 part story guest starring Deadman, appropriately titled The Deadman Connection. To have a little fun with this, DC had 3 glow in the dark covers prepared, one for each issue. #comics

You might be on to something there. They all look alike, so to an untrained eye, it would be hard to tell if the real Woodstock had been replaced.

This evening's bike run was warm inside the city, a bit cool outside. i wore my long sleeve vest. While a bit warm inside the city, I was perfect outside. At one point, I was following another cyclist who was about 1 minute ahead of me. #cycling

I had planned on a shorter run, but as I was running, I felt good enough that I decided to continue for a longer route. I'm glad i did. Taking longer to get to a trail allowed me to get a photo of this hare. The park itself was very busy, I was going around people a lot. #running

This evening's bike ride was a short one. But, as I felt rested, I could push myself just a bit harder. There was a bit of a westerly breeze, but nothing that really made the ride difficult. I was able to climb hill #3 on 4th gear (huff, huff). Very satisfying! #cycling

The Cocagne Rover #3 covered bridge on Poirier Office Road. This bridge is in good condition. Its underside is steel reinforced which is good. #bridge

With the no kings protests yesterday, I noticed a serious upswing in magat users on blue sky. Remember everyone, do not engage with them, just block them. Like their god emperor, magats crave attention & absolutely go ape sh*t when they are ignored. #noking #nokings #taco

Another near perfect day for a bike run at 17° & virtually no wind. It's weird doing a circuit with no wind resistance, but I appreciated the feeling. Stopped midway up hill #1 to take a photo. That upset my rhythm & I had a hard time finishing it. Met up with 1 cyclist. Waved hello. #cycling

From my comics collection, Starman #7 & 8 by James Robinson, @tonyfuckingharris.bsky.social & Wade Von Grawbadger. A 2 part story, A (K)night at the Circus, sees Jack Knight finding a previous Starman, Mikaal Tomas, imprisoned in a circus. #comics

Predator Killer of Killers. I liked it well enough. It has all the violence, gore & action that you expect. Each segment is well done. I'm not sure if I agree with the 4th act. There was always a sense of honour among the Predators. This seems to throw that out the door. #predator #film

Today's run was in the late afternoon. It was 17° & sunny, perfect for a run. One perk of the cooler weather: no mosquitoes. Yay!!! Went a bit on a side trail for this angled photo of the bridge. Met up with 1 runner, waved hello. #running

A short bike ride this evening. With the temperature dropping and the possibility of rain along with a high northwest wind, I decided to not push myself too much. It was hard for the 1st half, though bent down always helps against the wind. Met up with 1 cyclist, waved hello. #cycling

Today's bike run was hard in the 1st half, fun in the 2nd. The 1st half was against the wind. The 2nd half was with the wind on my back, or the forest blocked the wind. Got passed by about 20 motorcycles, many of which barely gave me the 1 metre space. My opinion of them is not improving. #cycling

From my comics collection, New Gods Secret Files & Origins from Sept 1998. Released between John's Byrne's series & Walter Simonson's series, it provides a good tail end to the former & a preview to the latter. #comics

This evening was back to a run after a couple of days of cycling. While it was 22°, it was still humid, but at least no hazy. The park was very busy. There were a lot of families cycling, but I only met up with 1 runner. Waved hello. #running

Today's bike ride was from my house to my father's house, 47km away. The weather was ok, except for the northern wind. It would be against me the whole way. It took me about 2h20 to do this & I was tired. I will try this again, hopefully with a southwest wind. #cycling

From my comics collection, Batman Phantom Stranger Prestige Format Special by Alan Grant & Arthur Ranson. Alan Grant understands Batman well & is able to write a story that you would not normally associate him in. It's always a treat to read a good Phantom Stranger story. #comics

Did not plan on a bike ride, but with a break in the rain, I decided to do a short run. The weather was only 20°, but very humid. Being a short run & not feeling too tired, I decided to try climbing hill #3 on 4th gear & I did it (yes!!!!). I was huffing a lot, but it felt good. #cycling

This evening's run was later than I expected it to be. It's very muggy & hazy. In fact, there was a smell in the air, probably from the forest fires in Manitoba & Saskatchewan over 2000 km away. The park itself wad busy. I zigzagged a few times. #running

From my comics collection, Fantastic Four 371 by Tom DeFalco, Paul Ryan & Dan Buladani. In this issue, the Human Torch is attacked by multiple villains & resorts to going nova to save himself, but with disastrous consequences. #comics

This evening's bike ride was like yesterday, except it was even warmer. It was 29° when I started at 7PM and still 27° when i got home at 8:30. There's a strong west wind, but for this run, it's perfect since my westerly portion is mostly downhill. Met up with 1 cyclist, waved hello. #cycling

Final Fantasy Legend of the Crystals. A 1994 anime OVA that serves as a sequel to the Final Fantasy V game. I was not expecting much, since no one has ever really talked about it, but I remain baffled behind the production choices. Was everyone just saying yes to every weird idea? #anime

This evening's bike ride was too soon after supper & it took a while for my body to understand that I wanted to do physical exercise. The hills were hard, but doable. Met up with 1 runner & their dog. With no traffic, moved to the middle of the road to give them space. Waved hello. #cycling

The next 2 days will be in the high 20's. This evening is only in the low 20's, thus much better for a run. A large group were running in the park. Combined with solo runners, I counted 27 runners. Tried to wave hello to all. Also saw a couple making out in their car. I did not wave hello. #running

Aurora Borealis. The green glow was visible. The red upward streamers showed up for about 15 minutes & I took these photos. It then calmed down. #aurora #astrophotography

From my comics collection, Formerly Known As The Justice League by Keith Giffen @jmdematteis.bsky.social , @kevinmaguire.bsky.social & Joe Rubinstein. 10+ years after the "bwa ha ha" era ended, no one seems to have missed a beat. #comics

Today's bike run was surprisingly good. With a strong westerly wind & only 19°, there was a bit of a wind chill. Still, I found myself climbing the hills well enough, though still huffing & puffing. The windmills to the south & southwest were visible, but so were the ones on PEI. #cycling
