NEW SEASONAL TAROT READING SPECIALS JUST DROPPED. Time to get loud & proud or sweet & sweating or whatever you're doing this season! cassandra-snow.com/specialreadi...

It is done. I have sent the book that has eaten the last three years of my life to my editor and am commencing collapse now. I can’t tell if it’s brilliant or absolute garbage because I’ve looked at it for so long, but it is done. At least until I get the notes back.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Via about folk lore and magical practice.

I am *begging* people to look up the actual history of the Luddite movement with it being bandied about everywhere. They weren't anti-tech, they were anti-exploitation, anti-Industrialist, pro-worker safety textile worker radicals who disabled factory machines that were maiming and killing workers.

Following the “if you see it you must repost” rule. I’ve watched it three times, like a spell to remember that magic exists.

Very excited to get this book out into the world. Working with Yvonne is a pleasure and seeing this work take shape from blog posts to finished publication has been a bright spot amid the chaos. I highly recommend ordering from your local bookseller or Bookshop. org for free or lower cost shipping.

A little rusty but we’re back today with what I think is an excellent season opener.

The curator of the Covid-safer Bay Area events and performances list is having some work issues that make it harder to survive in this expensive place. www.gofundme.com/f/help-csl3-...

I haven’t been posting much; trying to finish this book & (waves hand at everything), but I grossed my porridge hating partner out with one recipe title & I feel accomplished: An Excellent & Wholesome Water-Gruel with Wood-Sorrel and Currants from The Closet of Sir Kenelm Digby Knight Opened (1669)

It’s Tuesday, so there’s a book post. I participated in the kickstarter for this a while back and it arrived yesterday. I am not a spinner or weaver despite ambitions but I can sew. And now have ideas for my apocalypse fashions. (I wish that was more of a joke.)

Lilies are beautiful and they are absolutely deadly for cats. If you would really like white flowers for Easter, consider white roses especially unsprayed ones. More info with a helpful identification graphic: www.aspca.org/news/which-l...

if you, for whatever reason, decided to start some basic home preparedness today, and can only get to a few stores, here's what I'd tell you to get: -walkie talkies for everyone in your family -little portable power packs, one per phone -a print road atlas [...]

Reposting myself posting into the void of a podcast hiatus. We’ll be back in two weeks.

If you are a parent, you know how prohibitively expensive diapers can be. rainorshinediaperfund.org

It's Trans Day of Visibility. For many of us, we're visible every day. We weather the stares of strangers, weigh the cost of speaking up to a coworker, feel constantly surveilled but never understood. Think, instead, of a Trans Day of Vision. What future do you want, and how will you make it?

I knew this was probably coming. I am still (much less frequently) in disbelief that this is reality, but here we are.

Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art. Keep making art.

If you consider yourself a pagan community leader/elder/priest(ess)(ex), I highly recommend looking into how to create alternative methods of supporting the basic needs of your community members now that mainstream institutions are being gutted. #witchsky #WitchMadness

I’ve been at a loss as to what to post in between our new further apart episodes, but WitchLit is primarily about books and writers, so here’s books I picked up this week. I had purchased the ebook of the Cunningham bio for research but happily bought this one to have the author sign it. 1/

Books may not save us but they can keep us sane.

If the physical world—the land—matters and is holy, you better fucking accept that your physical body matters and is holy, too. #WitchSky

Happy Int’l Women’s Day, witches! Currently reading Light in the Dark/Luz en lo Oscuro by Gloria E. Anzaldúa for an upcoming conversation with Ron Padrón @wrwitching.bsky.social that will air April 15 — in case you want to pick it up (locally or from Bookshop . Org) before then.

This is what your reposts and signal boosts can do for independent artists.

Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.
