This is a balm for my soul

Just thinking about the people who say that we can't find "good for her" aspects in Midsommar because the cult is problematic

There's definitely some post 9/11 stuff going on here too #FrightClub #AfterHours

This is one of many films we can throw in the faces of people who think it's only okay to like horror because it's recently been "elevated." Interesting and substantive horror has been with us all along. #FrightClub ##AfterHours

This movie just gets more relevant over time. Not only is there parallels with COVID, but it also has parallels with the disastrous effects words have (such as propaganda and disinformation) That part of this era is even scarier than the pandemic. #FrightClub #AfterHours

That's quite the revelation #FrightClub

This movie captures how it felt when COVID was first hitting and we were all shut inside desperately consuming news about the virus, but also desperate to not have to hear news about it. #FrightClub #AfterHours

Imitating windshield wipers? I guess there's not much to do in rural Ontario. You have to make your own fun. #FrightClub #AfterHours

How are you going to put on brown face for a fucking radio performance? You're being racist just for fun? #FrightClub #AfterHours

One of the Lawrence of Arabians is Tony Burgess, but I forget which one. #FrightClub #AfterHours

I do recommend the book by Tony Burgess (also wrote the film's screenplay). It is wild. All the things that happen off screen, you get to read about. it's very fucked up. For those who don't know, the movie isn't a book adaptation. They're separate stories in the same event. #FrightClub #AfterHours

In an episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation, the kids are reading Pontypool Changes Everything for class. Which is amazing. Presumably, a writer on the show was a fan and snuck a reference in. I can't imagine that book is really being assigned to Ontarian 14 year olds. #FrightClub #AfterHours

I love Stephen McHattie's grizzledness. #FrightClub #AfterHours

What's the tag for this. I'll do #FrightClub too on my posts I guess

Allowing the voice of Pontypool's #1 DJ Grant Mazzie soothe me to sleep. #FrightClubAfterHours

I started watching day 2 of the European gymnastics championships apparatus finals on hour 3 of 4 and rewound to the beginning. I hope the Eurovision sport video player will let me continue even after the meet ends. Because no way am I catching up even skipping warmups and medal ceremonies.

I also know that brunette woman, but I'm not sure from where. I think she was in lots of mediocre horror from this era. #FrightClub

Lot's of "hey it's that person!" posts and no one has pointed out the presence of Kandyse McClure from Battlestar Galactica. So I will. #FrightClub

OMG it's the Vampire Jessica! #FrightClub

When you see an Ashmore brother, you know where a movie was filmed #FrightClub

I always scrolled by Mother's Day on streaming services because I thought I'd seen it, but upon pressing play, I don't think I have. #FrightClub

On theme music for the intermission #FrightClub youtu.be/Ju4rlVWvm58?...

Patricia now looks like me watching last year's election returns #FrightClub

You're not supposed to say smoking is cool anymore but I think we can agree it's cool if you're sassily blowing cigarette smoke at a religious fanatic. #FrightClub

I have also only seen one film in a theater while drunk. It was that movie where he fights dragons in a post apocalyptic world. I don't know how one watches that sober.

A lifetime of reading VC Andrews books has taught me that rich people who conduct fanatical church services out of their mansions are never up to any good. #FrightClub

Look on the brightside. At least the creepy guy taking her suitcases isn't Torgo. #FrightClub

Just sitting in a boat with a gun. As one does. #FrightClub

First time watch of Die! Die! My Darling This opening credits sequence is amazing. #FrightClub

I'm watching The Row. A bad aughts slasher that came out in 2018. It's still an aughts slasher in spirit if not in year.
