My dad, the light of my world, is about a week younger than Trump. All the jokey "Well, he'll be dead in a few years anyway" jabs at Trump might as well be talking about Dad. I'm not telling you what to/not to say, but it makes me really sad every time I see it.

I was going to make my new and improved enchilada casserole for dinner, but that is so not happening tonight. I still need to feed the puppies and devise a replacement people dinner, then I need to shower and put away my clothes. My extra hour of work is not getting done.

Two of 3 new pairs of jeans I finally tried on fit, so they're in the wash with some other clothes I need for the week. I have put liquid plumber down two drains and got them flowing again. I have filled up half a garbage bag with trash from down here to take out to the bin. Now too tired to cook.

ClickList order arrived! Tried them on the cooked, not-canned carrots and everyone turned their noses up. To be fair, I'm not a fan, either. They don't smell like raw and smell kinda processed, so that was $1.79 wasted.

Today is folks' anniversary and the first one without Mom. They would have been married 57 years today. I gave Dad a big hug and asked how he was doing and he said he was fine. I just wish I could do something special for him today.

He took watermelon from my hand, but not when it was on the plate. 🙄 He was also still hungry (because he didn't eat his kibble) so I cut up some chicken for him in very small pieces and he ate quite a bit of that from the table.

I sure hope the whooping cough outbreaks encourage the US to split up the TDaP so I can get the pertussis vaccine without risking anaphylaxis from the tetanus toxin. I know it won't happen, but I really wish it could.

A brilliant and engaging retelling of Andrew Wakefield's fraud. It's a story I know intimately. My children were both diagnosed with autism in the decade when that fraud dominated the discourse in Autism Land. Many of the autism parents I knew where I lived then were personal acolytes of that crook.

I gave the boys Cesar again for breakfast along with some of their usual kibble that had been soaked in warm water. Hamish, who loves the kibble, refused to touch his, even the Cesar that was touching it. Ozzie ate his Cesar but not the kibble mush, but it now working on the Cesar Hamish left.

Ozzie learned stairs are out tonight. The little boys were barking and Ozzie dove off the bed and ran up the stairs. But then he got to the landing and got stuck. I found him sitting there and had to get his vest to get him down (he does not like to be carried.)
