💥Major new LDN bike lane starting💥 Working with LB Hammersmith & Fulham, we're starting construction on Cycleway 34 from Wood Lane to Shepherds Bush Green in W London. This key route will make it safer for people cycling & improve crossings for pedestrians. tfl-newsroom.prgloo.com/news/work-on...

🚍🚶‍♀️🚲Great to be in Sutton as part of the Big Community Transport Tour Insightful conversations with councillors & community on improving safety, reliability & accessibility. Lots of exciting opportunities ahead - new housing and the world-leading London Cancer Hub.

Great to the signs in and this section Cycleway 50 completed from York Way to Camden Road. 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲

Great to see construction progressing well on the new crossing on Essex Road - this will enable a new cycleway link between Cycleway 27 and Cycleway 38 passing by the New River. Working in partnership with @IslingtonBC 👏 @rowchampion.bsky.social

I love the simple brilliance of this bubble barrier on the River Lea - helping clean up London’s waterways: 🫧bubbles stop litter, algae etc which is removed for later collection But 🐟🦆🚣‍♂️ can easily pass💙 👏👏@Canals&RiversTrust @metecoban92.bsky.social @hackneycouncil.bsky.social

🚨Delighted to announce that we will install a new zebra crossing on Emmanuel Road outside Telferscot Primary School as part of our commitment to reduce road danger, especially for children! Works will take place over the summer holidays & be done by start of September

We closed Abbeville Road in Clapham to cars for a few hours today and something truly radical and transformative happened. We saw a community grow. People came out to chat, laugh, listen, gossip, eat, drink and share. Just proves that streets are for people not just for cars.

New analysis shows that lowering speeds on our roads is saving lives. Every death on our roads is one too many. Slower speeds not only protect the most vulnerable, but help create safer streets. We’ll continue working to eliminate death & serious injury on the transport network.

New research provides conclusive proof that 20mph in London is saving lives 🚶🚲🚌🚗 14 yrs of analysis at 150+ sites - reviewed by experts - shows: ❤️40% fewer deaths (vs 7% drop on roads where no changes were made) ❤️75% fewer children killed & 50% fewer kids hurt.

We're into the last two weeks of the London Walking Festival - but don't worry there are still plenty of great organised walk you can take part in. They're fun, will keep you fit and they are a great way to explore our great city. nationalparkcity.london/london-walki...

Great to talk to BBC News about the ongoing success of London's e-scooter trial: 📈 10,000,000km ridden across London 📈27% rise in customers using it multiple times 📉0.0004% chance of serious injury per ride (& getting safer) Delighted Wandsworth have now joined the trial too!

Fantastic to see the 1st phase of the pedestrianisation of Camden High Street. With all the bars, shops & the famous market, these pavements have overcrowded for far too long. It's great to see visitors having the safe space they deserve. 👏👏👏 @camdencouncil.bsky.social

Do you want to see a pedestrianised Oxford Street? TODAY IS THE LAST DAY to have your say: haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/oxford-street

London loves cycling in the sunshine!!🚲🚲 We've cut the costs of Santander Cycles so it's even cheap to hire a docked bike or e-bike in central London. We had the busiest day of hire since 2022 this week. Try taking one for a spin this weekend. tfl.gov.uk/modes/cyclin...

Lambeth Council has unveiled 5 new kerbside sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) outside schools. Rain gardens will reduce surface water flooding, boost biodiversity & narrower streets will help cut speeding, making near primary schools.💚 👏👏 @rezinachowdhury.bsky.social & team

Boroughs manage 95% of London's roads & are our key partners to make streets safer. I'm delighted we've agreed a new 3yr programme, with £87.6m for 2025/26, to deliver more bike lanes & parking, school streets, LTNs, 20mph, safer crossings & junctions. 🚲🦽🚶‍♂️🌹💚 tfl-newsroom.prgloo.com/news/tfl-ann...

All that's left of the once huge glacier at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. #ClimateCrisis www.nationalgeographic.com/adventure/ar...

This is a story about deep sea mining, beautifully told. Mining something that takes millions of years to form. What could go wrong? Ehm…🛢️👀 Letting an industry with a terrible record on land do the same in the ocean where there’s way less oversight. What could go wrong? 🤔

💥London bucks national trends as cycling boom continues💥 New City of London data shows biggest increase cycling since records began: 📈cycling up 57% since 2022 🚲🚲nearly 2x more bikes than cars 📈500% increase in cycling since 1999 www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/assets/Servi...

I’ve been cycling around Holborn since I first arrived in London as a student 25 years ago. Oh my goodness, the new cycle lanes make it so much better - it’s great to be working with @CamdenCouncil @AdamDKHarrison on the improvements to the gyratory and the wide neighbourhood.

I was honoured to be invited to the unveiling of the stunning new statue of Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, the 9 yr old London schoolgirl killed by air pollution. Ella would have been 21 today had London’s air been cleaned up earlier. www.standard.co.uk/news/london/...

I'm delighted to announce that I'll be adding responsibility for London's growing fleet of pedalos to my portfolio.
