It’s almost as though - and hear me out - they are not actually the best people.

The disparity in our principles is so much greater than the differences in our politics. We cannot begin to discuss the latter until we have resolved the former.

It's odd that Elon Musk's emulation of the Nazis stops short of creating reliable cars and rockets that get to their destination.

If you’ve ever taken the oath to uphold the Constitution, this is the time to live up to it.

I’m not overly sentimental by nature, but I sure do miss the days when conservatives would lecture me about how we’re a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

I feel that there have been so many other opportunities for Sen. McConnell to apply his “as a youth, I suffered from polio” argument to his politics and his votes over the years that I am largely unmoved by his invoking it now.

If the Gulf of Mexico can decide to identify as the Gulf of America, then my students can identify however they damn well please.

If Trump is doing the right things, he can do them the right way. Pass them as bills in a Republican congress, sign them into law by a Republican president and have them upheld by a Republican judiciary. But they won’t, because he isn’t. And that’s that.

If taxes are the dues we have to pay to live in a civilized society, I’m confused as to why I am currently paying taxes.

Help, weak men are making hard times

As a father of five kids, I totally agree with this evergreen post.

For a bunch of people who claim the Constitution was inspired by the Bible, they sure make a regular show of proving to us that they haven’t read either.

Every attribute that made Merrick Garland such a terrible Attorney General would have made him a wonderful Supreme Court justice. Screw Mitch McConnell. Screw the GOP.

In 1977, Vincent Price starred in a one-man-show where he played openly gay Oscar Wilde; it was condemned by Anita Bryant. When asked about her condemnation, Price replied that Wilde had already written a play about Anita: “A Woman of No Importance”

Dry January? Nope. Sorry. No way I’m giving up alcohol AND the Biden Administration in the same month.

Biden: "In four years, the economy created 16.6 million new jobs, the most in any single presidential term. We've created jobs every single month I was in office ... the economy I'm leaving is the best in the world."

While in Houston, the Reverend Joel Olsteen shutters his church during a hurricane.

Said it before and I will say it again: We are heading towards the most unsatisfying “I told you so” ever….

Say what you will, but Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is already paying dividends. Gabbard will be able to meet with Putin and Assad with one plane trip.

Exactly. The thing that I remember most from his first term was the sheer incompetence.

I believe that a bipartisan group of 8-10 Senators who provide any President-elect with a list of five nominees for each cabinet post who would receive a swift and near-unanimous confirmation would fall under the definition of “advise and consent” more than a basically partisan vote.
