The pain is still going on, but I tried something that has done more to quell the pain than anything I've tried and it WORKED. Comedy. I played the stand-up albums on my phone and I was able to lie down (which I normally can't do in this state--I have to just pace) and laugh. It was like magic.

I just changed the gender of a character. Started out as a cisgender woman, and then I thought it would be interesting for her to be nonbinary. Dutifully changed the pronouns, though there were no LOOKIT HOW NONBINARY I AM moments. 1/
