What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders? Game development is chaos and fire. Tools don't work. Roadmaps burn. Workers are overworked and led by bosses who don't have training. There's a constant clash of egos at the top, leading to dysfunction. It's a miracle any game exists.

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.

Had an interview for a Social Media Manager. Killer salary and benefits. I was asked if I was comfortable with ChatGPT and using GenAI. I told them no. They asked me if I could be swayed, but I stood my ground. Even if I was, that's a nightmare for PR. No thanks.
