Today I decided to bake my first fruit cake with rum and brandy. The recipe is from the Edmonds Cookbook. My mother had this book, it’s a walk through of the food of my childhood in New Zealand. It’s baked on a low heat, took about 6 hours. It will be wrapped and stored for 2 months until it cured.
