Trump is very direct. He says he spoke to Putin, Putin is going to give a hard response. Iran negotiations are going too slow, and Putin has offered to mediate. His voters like him for it. They probably feel part of the process. And this is an essential part to his brand of populist politics.

Opposition bending over backwards to glaze to governments actions wrt Pahalgam seems like an effort to wipe the stink of "anti-national" off of them. If true, it means they are slightly more aware of their past failures. But, there is no substitute for a good manifesto and a popular candidate.

Just saw a reel of Lidia Thorpe "assault" King Charles. It seems the right wing NZ government is trying to change policies around Maori rights. The wierd thing, or is it just expected at this point, is that my Indian friends who live in NZ just straight up deny any discrimination that Maori face.
