Had to exit from a different gate because of the timing's I guess, and I just noticed that my gym is in a visibly brutalist building. How cool is that.

> in 1992, then-parliamentarian Netanyahu advised the Israeli Knesset that Iran was “three to five years” away from reaching nuclear weapons capability, and that this threat had to be “uprooted by an international front headed by the U.S.” He has been crying wolf for 30 years

#nowWatching #FilmSky Pretty nice film. Slow but personal.

Apparently, Krakow has been ranked safest city in Europe for solo female travellers.

A tattoo artist I went to in 2018 messaged me today, to ask for work. I know it was 2018 because he messaged me on WhatsApp and I saw the old messages. And this was a studio that had more than one branch so you know times are hard. Recession / slowdown / contraction is nigh.

#nowWatching #FilmSky It's a good thriller, and it's decent if you like gore. But it's plot driven and everything else is meh. It's a sad sequel to a great movie.

For Eid, me and the wife made biryani, as usual. But we took a Kerela Pepper Chicken recipe as base (a friend gifted us fresh curry leaves) and it came out pretty good. Surprisingly, it needed very little oil, mainly because it didn't need deep fried onions. Just onions that were cooked until soft

Cool post credit scene, but the movie just will not end jeez

The music was undeniably cool

I'm pretty disappointed. The main battle was especially bad. Full of bad tropes. The final battle was better but not much could redeem the movie by then.

I'm watching Sinners and it was slow. Maybe a given considering its set in 1932, but then some dude with an electric guitar shows up and lays down some killer riffs.

Why is every free Keychain a bottle opener

Disney when planning the Alladin live action remake - The bird has to be British. Them's the rules.

Took a quick pic while we waited at a turn #krakow

Gonna begin in a bit

#nowListening Nice classic soft rock anthem type

#nowListening Part Abba, part Amy Winehouse and really good Have been listening to her songs all evening.

Is there anything better than talcum powder to manage sweat and body odour? I don't think so.

Trump is very direct. He says he spoke to Putin, Putin is going to give a hard response. Iran negotiations are going too slow, and Putin has offered to mediate. His voters like him for it. They probably feel part of the process. And this is an essential part to his brand of populist politics.

Wife got her tax refund in the post today. Only the post man had a wad of cash in his hand, he counted out her refund and just handed it to her. Yes, he made her sign for it as well, but it was strange nonetheless.

I was right. The video shows what combat between an MMA guy and a Kendo practitioner might be like.

A friend recommended The Book of Five Rings, an instructional by a man considered to be the greatest samurai ever. But he warned me that it was a little abstract - a given considering its from the 15th century. So obviously, my approach was to try to get the gist of it. And then I came to this bit

I hate people who complain about election results with the retort that people are just dumb or racist or sexist. If they are like that now, they will probably be like that in the next election. And the one after that, and the one after that. And you still need their votes.

Opposition bending over backwards to glaze to governments actions wrt Pahalgam seems like an effort to wipe the stink of "anti-national" off of them. If true, it means they are slightly more aware of their past failures. But, there is no substitute for a good manifesto and a popular candidate.

I guess it's just an upper caste thing? Everywhere they go they side with the oppressor communities.

Just saw a reel of Lidia Thorpe "assault" King Charles. It seems the right wing NZ government is trying to change policies around Maori rights. The wierd thing, or is it just expected at this point, is that my Indian friends who live in NZ just straight up deny any discrimination that Maori face.
