Done with decorum! If your opponent throws you into the pigsty and starts punching, you don't focus on not soiling your white attire. You figure out how to enjoy the sty so that you can win the fight. Decorum be damned!

I don't understand it. All of this fear. This is proof that we need term limits for all elected positions. Then, we'd have a few who could speak up without impact to their careers. Returning the focus to the well-being of the country and its people. Say, 2 terms max. Politics should not be a career.

It's frightening out here. Especially that normal routines continue, yet all the foundations are being eviscerated. At what point do these two realities converge? And what then is born?

So far, we've watched and complied as they've decimated federal gov. We've complied as they've created an environment where they'll own all the real estate. Both farmland and residential. As they fire everyone and interrupt income for farms. We should not be shocked by the events that will follow.

All of this unemployment DOGE is about to cause - what's that impact? To property prices and the economy as a whole? Leaving aside the impact to the business of running America. What's the end goal here? How does a destitute and desperate America advance their goals?

The hardest part of watching Trump this past few days is this. Understanding that there is no minority group that can or will ever have freedom guaranteed, as long as we are trained to believe freedom or equality are given through laws. 1/2

Thinking about the conversations I've had since Jan 20th. And while we all knew it was going to be a jolt of pain, it seems that it is hurting more than we expected. And the worry in our tones is increasing. It turns out, mainstream media, when it had a spine, provided some respite. We miss it.

I've been trying to see the other side. Just in case it exists. I'm stuck. Easy access to health care is a point to disagree with? Why is DEI an issue? Is equal opportunity a negative? Books and learning truth are bad, too? Why does a sermon elicit insults? And why so much need to control everyone?

Turns out I felt all the stress I thought I'd feel. And more. I barely survived 2016 through 2019. I must find strength. And Mariann Edgar Budde just gave me my first glimpse of hope. Long may all the brave souls live. Loud might we hear them. And may their bravery breed courage and strength in us.

I don't know what you should tell kids to guide them into great adults. If you figure out how to get across to them to really know themselves, to let that ground them and their principles, and to never change out of fear - instead to fight for those beliefs with everything and humanity in mind. Win

I'm honestly losing sleep over Jan 20th. How are you all coping with this impending doom?

Is it just me? Or is the only way to watch news coverage about the LA fires, sans paywall, through an international news body? Updates are available to read through some US media outlets.

It's Jan 6th. We remember the dishonor perpetrated against America by its own citizens today. And we mourn the heroes who died protecting her honor. May their memories forever fill this nation; and the truth about their sacrifice forever shine through the attempted lies about the same.

I'm trying to embrace the end of the year and the refreshing idea of new beginnings. But I have this weight in my heart. Which I finally put my finger on. January 21st. I'm dreading it wholly. I'll try to hope for the best. Happy 2025, all. Good always wins in the end.
