If you want to try out Svelte remote functions I made an example repo with the async and RPC branch until the PR is out. 🔥 I left comments and you can also learn how simple progressive enhancement is with optimistic UI updates. There are bugs! 🐛 github.com/mattcroat/sv...

ngl i haven’t really felt too excited about coding lately, i need that spark back

Bluesky CEO @jay.bsky.team is right, we need to stop thinking of social media as a zero-sum game that platforms are “winning” or “losing.” Why not measure friendships, or genuine connection? We need to rethink what we value in our online tools for socializing.

The "One Tip a Week" newsletter by @nickyt.online is one of my favorites I've read in a while! It's short and sweet and I've learned something new almost every time. one-tip-a-week.beehiiv.com

We've launched a new page that outlines what we're trying to do with open working projects and importantly, *why* we're doing it. This isn't the internet we want and we're going to do everything to make sure we're making things better, not chasing profit over anything. piccalil.li/support-picc...

I deleted 10,000 notes. Because I was mistaking a database for a brain. Structure for thinking. Storage for insight. I was building a library. What I needed was a life. www.joanwestenberg.com/p/i-deleted-...

Beyond Bluesky: These are the apps building social experiences on the AT Protocol techcrunch.com/2025/...

OAuth updates for app devs! Over the past few weeks we've been chatting with devs and doing a pass over our SDKs and docs to address issues. This blog post summarizes the main changes we've made, some tweaks still in flight, and links to longer form writing about security and design trade-offs

we sold out! HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in The Box by @codetv.dev, and congrats to the winners of - Nintendo Switch 2 - BenQ RD280U and RD240Q monitors - Bambu Lab A1 Mini 3D printer - lots more! I’m still around @renderatl.com — come say hi!

Virtual routing is infinitely better than file-based routing. I'm glad React Router finally saw the light and dropped this horrible trend. I hope more frameworks follow suit

ooooo a response to all those “bluesky won’t make it/is a bubble” pieces from a pro atproto perspective by @sarahp.bsky.social for @techcrunch.com techcrunch.com/2025/06/12/b...

i think i'm using PersistedState wrong @thomas.rocks

Launching: 🛸 UFOs, a global ATProto lexicon explorer! 🛸 Find sample records for every collection NSID ever published! +timeseries stats, unique user counts, and more! 🛸 App: ufos.microcosm.blue 👾 API: ufos-api.microcosm.blue

those opinion pieces on bluesky being an echo chamber and a horrible place with too many righteous liberals is because of this custom feeds and curating a follow list would fix this, but new users won’t get that far if they can’t get this off their discover feed, the one thing that is familiar

i don’t necessarily care about copyright as it relates to artistic innovation, but what i do care is being able to choose whether i want my data to be trained on, and therefore i’m on disney’s side on this one

he’s talking about chatgpt here, but it’s scary to think that i was immune to engagement traps cause i know the tricks devs use i resisted for so long, then i clicked on it once, and now it’s at the top of home page and instinctually click and scroll until i blink seeing 3 hours have past

I did not know Mikeal personally, but his thinking on Open Source community cultivation will forever remain a core tenet of my work. We continue his legacy by making humane technology in service of fellow human beings, never the other way around. medium.com/the-node-js-...

Our latest "Lab Notes" post about implementing subscriptions with atproto! Includes thoughts on custom feeds vs. email, current limitations, challenges…and how it works & what we might build on it in the future (in-app feed? social pub discovery?) We'd love to hear your thoughts!

sorry guys no ios 26 for me, gotta make space for the 80+ gigs of memes on my photo roll 😔

I ran an experiment, simultaneously posting articles on Bluesky and X, and then testing to see how many people actually clicked and read them. The numbers on Bluesky are higher, both because the X algorithm downranks journalism, and because Bluesky attracts readers, not just shitposters.

It's here! ATStudio 💫 Try the beta: at-studio.dev Execute XRPC and SDK requests on #atproto. It's like Postman/Paw, but for your favorite protocol. #atprotocol #bsky #webdev 🧵👇
