While I can understand the criticism of certain types of travel (simply for getting attention on tiktok and insta, etc.), there's an undeniable divide between people who travel, and people who don't. And it's not about being "interesting."

Nope. This article is just a series of constructed straw men. Most people travel in order to, bear with me because this is complicated, to see the world. We aren't satisfied with reading about it, or looking at photos or videos.
It sounds as if the writer would just be happy watching YouTube videos or travelogues. Go ahead, no one's stopping you. But I want to explore for myself.
