Finished Sanderson's latest, Wind and Truth over the weekend. Had some weaknesses, but overall extremely enjoyable and I flew through the last 700-800 pages. Given the scope of the Cosmere, he just has such a tight handle on world building and plot that it's truly awesome to experience.

Awesome world building, but the characters are just marionettes. Things happen to them, it's like they have no agency outside what the plot demands.
They do a personal 180 if the plot needs it.
Disagree with your point on characters, I think Sanderson does an excellent job of character development.
