I just saw 'Love, Gilda' the other night, the documentary on Radner's life. It was so interesting to see a very young (and much trimmer) John Candy in the SCTV cast. I really must see what my local library has on SCTV. Fascinating stuff.

Gilda actually worked with Candy on the Second City stage, not SCTV. She went to SNL before SCTV was even launched. SCTV made Candy a star, and then he went into the movies…

I didn't think she was part of SCTV! I was a little confused by that but my WiFi connection kept cutting in and out watching the documentary. I don't know if it cut out around the part of how Gilda herself lost all her weight. I had no idea she had weight issues growing up!

Of the SNL crew I only knew Chris Farley. But only professionally. My profession, that is. As airline customer service in Madison, Wisconsin. I knew his mom much more. A real sweetheart. Loved her.
