Because they thought that Trump would hurt the people they hate (LGBT+, brown people, etc) more than he would hurt them.

Them losing their jobs is apparently worth it if it means more transgender youth take their own lives.

The postal service is critical to absentee voting which disabled, elderly, and the military depend on. Destroying the Post Office is another way to disenfranchise millions of people.
