I'm not a lawyer, so I can't give legal advice, but if you ask 23andMe to delete your data/sample, that likely only applies to what they still directly control. If you consented to share data with partners (like researchers or Pharma), those entities still have and could potentually use the data.

That makes sense. And 23&me probably have several labs they use so tracking down the correct lab- affiliate could be an undertaking…..

I could never understand why people would offer their genetic profiles to a for-profit company . . . and trust that their privacy was safe. Go to a medical geneticist if you're worried.
