This guy was Amuro, that isn't a small character! The only other case that came close to this is Takahiro Sakurai was hiding his marriage and having an affair with an assistant of his (which is a workplace issue). Even he didn't lose every role (though he probably should have)

It sounds like he's still Amuro in the upcoming Super Robot Wars Y, but the game has been in development since at least 2021, so they probably recorded the lines before the truth was revealed.

Likely a similar thing with Suruga's VA, Junya Ikeda. Despite him being arrested and tried for scamming people, he's (presumably) still playing Suruga because of how long this game was being worked on.

Yeah I think the main reason this was treated differently was the physical abuse he admitted to as well. Like...I've seen Japanese male celebs get minimal push back from affairs, but you can't really ignore how toxic Furuya's was.
