This is a reversal of the tradition of parliamentary privilege. Formerly it was about protecting MPs from the executive; now it is being used by the executive to punish MPs.
We're debating what sort of parliament we want to be in the future. We can be one which punishes opposition, and there are many of them in the world. Or we can not be.
I didn't see today but I've been very impressed with her speaking on climate issues in the House. She knows her stuff, is a great speaker, and has real presence.
