I have an unused ticket from this show. Section 106, Row K, Seat 8. I just couldn't get there that night, but I made it to the following 2 nights!

Everyone talks about the Julius and Slave (also the Runaway) but the way they opened that show; that energy.......one of my favorite 35min to open any show I saw in 1.0. Call it attendance bias, but i'll never forget the feeling of how those hit.

That place was getting down like crazy and was deep in the funk. Sadly the tapes have always been a little lacking and with the monsters the next 2 nights, ol CSU gets overlooked.

For sure! Ghost AND BEK in the first chunk of the set? Killer. Great way to start off a 3 show run for me. And absolutely correct about the tapes. Can't believe they haven't released, in the very least, the Slave.

...and then back to rocketship energy. Criminally underrated show in the way that it was so unlike any of Fall 97. Fiery jams sprouting from the most unlikely of places. Still looking for the next Type II Slave..... not holding my breath
