I still can't believe how easily the π¬π§media was bought off with flattery on Thursday, hailing Starmer's visit as a triumph simply because of Trump's cheap perjorative niceties which meant nothing.
How different this looks in the harsh light of day following last night's ambush in the Oval Office.

Trump is trying to divide and conquer. This was evident when Rubio purposefully tried to humiliate πͺπΊHR Kallas Wednesday with a bait-and-switch on their planned DC meeting.
Stop being so naive.
The UK needs to stop sucking up to the USA and Starmer to tell the people that this delusion ends.
The media needs to treat Republicans like fascists. Not like mainstream conservatives.
What I was saying is that the UK media celebrated Starmer's win as a great success, when it actually delivered nothing.
Even if politicians might need to be diplomatic (I think that's arguable in this case), does the media need to go along with that?
They keep misreading Trump, which at this point in time bears incredulity.
