The markets are seldom valued fairly and they’ll go much higher than you imagined before falling much lower than you think. Unfortunately no one is going to ring a bell when we’re close to the top. My old Finance professor once said that when everyone is in the market, beware.

Bonus chart - among the preponderance of daily warning flags I mention in the Dec comment, we saw this one on Wednesday - a general version of what I call a "phase transition."

The SPX is about 5% ahead of T-bills since the June one, but at record valuations, this seems risk deferred, not avoided.

I know we don't say this time is different but looking at the cleanliness of the previous two bubble peaks and now, I must say it's different. Investors lost their minds pushed by the Fed monetary alchemy.
