I love your reviews but I don't think you appreciate the movie serial aspect of the newer shows, instead of self contained episodes. One story divided into episodes with cliffhangers is what the old movie serials that inspired Lucas to make SW used to do, and both The Acolyte & Skeleton Crew present
Legit laughed when the kids got into the turrets with the biggest grins on their face.
If anything, this show really captures what it's like to be a kid. You bet your sweet bippy 12 year old me would lose his shit at the chance to man a laser turret and fire it at ships.
