How do you write a character with a disability you experience without making it seem like it's a representation of everyone with that disability (I want to write a schizophrenic character, but my schizophrenia not a typical presentation of the disorder and sometimes people don't get that)

Not a Q, but I think the way that Rebecca Yarros has written Violet in Fourth Wing / the Emperyian series where she has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome has been beautifully done. I have EDS, &I see little bits of it sprinkled throughout the books.

I also, from comic books, want to point out Sun Spider
