We had one in our house when I was a kid, my mum used it as a centre piece for the table at Christmas dinner.

Wonder historically how old this concept is and where they come from before they were mass advertised. In south and central (Harz region)germany they were made of wood. But maybe its tyrolean and possibly italian influenced therefore? Fascinating thoughts.

I had one as a kud. Then as an adult I found one in an antique store, but it was missing pieces. Hubby biught me a new one. Its sitting on the coffee table right now. Turns out the hot sir from heater blowing will spin it too.
