I can see why people prefer to forget it. A crapload of vibrato in signing is just not my thing. Could really do with a gravelly soulful voice instead.

Yes! Love tracing songs thru the years. Otis Redding was a huge fan of "Sam Cooke at the Copa", that had TALT along with Tennessee Waltz - Otis covered both. Sam probably was inspired by Aretha's 1962 version. But TALT became an Otis song. Only fair since Aretha made Otis's RESPECT an Aretha song.
