I’m not sure what the attitude was in the 80’s, nor can I say I’m especially well read on the subject, but it seems Michael was quite popular, and didn’t try to foist the monarchy upon the Romanian people? On the contrary, in fact. If you can offer a source, I’m happy for the education.
