We need to break apart the executive branch into it's core functions and have the people elect certain ones while others are assigned by Congress.
A singular executive in charges of the institutions meant to hold them accountable is a recipe for tyranny.

-Abolish presidential pardons.
-Turn the DOJ into an independent non-partisan agency, like the Federal Reserve.
-Put the US Marshalls under command of the courts.
-Grant the Senate the power to revoke their consent from cabinet appointments.
-Expand the Supreme Court if they get in the way.

It's impossible to reform the Executive Branch unless changes are made to the Constitution. At that point, we're better off advocating for a parliamentary government

It's not the rules. Its the players. You cannot craft a perfect set of rules that protects the system if half the people decide they want facism. Republicans are not engaging in society in good faith. They have been comically evil my entire life. Stop treating them like equal counterparts.
