Last month the UK proclaimed the legal nonexistence of trans people in a court decision; last night Texas in the US did so by passing a law in its house of representatives. If the EU wants to send a signal it won't participate in the war on trans life, this initiative is a pretty clear way to do so.

EU folks: There is one week left to sign the EU citizen's initiative against "conversion therapy" of LGBTQ folks. I don't think it can hit the total threshold in that time but Spain just hit the country threshold, and Belgium and the Netherlands could still make it:

In the 5 days since I last posted it's jumped 250k votes to 670k votes. It's really close to its target of 1 mil.
1 day left. EU citizens can sign at:

In JUST the time I was asleep the EU "Citizens Initiative" to ban anti-LGBT "conversion therapy" got one-quarter of its entire vote goal, meaning with 9 countries & just over a million votes it "passes" and is sent to the EU parliament. Amazing y'all

"Collection" ends May 17, which I'm told means end-of-day *tomorrow*, so if you're an EU national you can still vote to run up the score and show support for LGBTQ folks.
RN Italy, Austria and Portugal are each about 5,000 votes short of endorsing
I still hope it meets the threshold in Italy, currently at 92%.
The citizens' initiative asking the EU to ban anti-LGBTQ "conversion therapy" ( https://eci.ec.europa.eu/043/public/#/screen/home ) HAS hit its target but with 7 HOURS LEFT there's still reason to vote—
- Portugal & Austria are close!
- Denmark & Croatia are ULTRA CLOSE, < 1000 votes each
the earliest they can see me about a passport is next month
