This is a bit misleading, they removed it because they merged the general TOS with firefoxes, which still states they don't really sell your data, they still gather usage data for development reasions, which is something you've always been able to opt out of.

This is inaccurate and misleading. If you look at the commit you linked, you can see that exact text was ADDED firefox/faq.html and removed from firefox/includes/structured-data-firefox-faq.html

That just looks like a refactor to me.
