A note on JD Vance's repulsive response to the deportation of a Salvadoran in "error": The whole point of his stunt is to show that Trump feels free to remove people even when the law *doesn't* justify it.

I spoke to the man's lawyer. Absolutely hair raising stuff:

Trump is demanding authority and loyalty as though he was America's supreme leader. He believes his word to be above all written laws, granting him unchecked executive, legislative, and judicial powers. Trump and his entire administration must be removed by any means necessary.

Meanwhile, Stephen Miller's family would've been in concentration camps and might not have survived the Holocaust, had the US not accepted them when they fled. I'd say he's a hypocrite, but I think it more likely that he's a gigantic racist.
